I was told that it's a good idea to create a personal e-book account. How and why would I do that?

You can create a personal account for ProQuest e-books that will allow you to save books to your own "bookshelf," make notes in them, and underline in them. These are all very useful options, and we encourage all library users to take advantage of this service.
In the ProQuest Ebook Central website, click on the Sign In link to create or access your account.
This only works for ebooks available through ProQuest. Other providers (such as JSTOR or EBSCO) do not have such a login option.
